Warm winter options available on court

With the winter weather now settling in and many people looking for ways to keep up their activity in the colder months, Tennis Auckland is providing solutions for all levels with coaching and activity sessions making the most of indoor facilities throughout the region.

Parents looking for a fun and safe activity for kids post lockdown are invited to try out Tennis Hot Shots. With small class sizes, indoor facilities and all equipment provided, kids can work their way through the multi-level programme which has them on court from day one, learning the fundamental skills that will stay with them for life.

Small classes sizes enable easy management of social distancing requirements and more one-on-one time for each student with Tennis New Zealand qualified coaches. There are classes available for all ages from 5- 18 years (lessons for under 5 years are currently on hold) and students work their way through skills stages with equipment that grows with them.

For adults who are looking to learn to play or just bush up on their basic skills, Tennis Xpress is a fun and social way to get your on-court confidence. This coaching courses is used the world over and will get you playing the game quickly by using lower pressure balls, simple scoring and clear technical teaching You can soon enjoy having a hit with friends and family.  Classes are taken by experienced coaches who provide advice and encouragement to each participant, with the goal of every participant getting more enjoyment out of their tennis experience. If it’s a quick burn you’re looking for then Cardio Tennis is the perfect option for tennis fans and non-players alike! A fun and social group fitness programme, Cardio Tennis is a great way to hit plenty of balls while moving around the court and is suitable for all levels and abilities. Each workout is set to high energy music and compromises of warm up, cardio segment with drills and play based activities and cool down, and participants can burn up to 600 calories per session!
