The Tennis Auckland Development Programme is designed for players aged 8-16 years, with a reasonable level of skill who enjoy competition and are motivated to improve their skills and performance.

In the Development Programme players will be guided by qualified coaches in both and off court sessions to develop their core competencies and help them improve their skills and results at regional and national level events.

Development Programme players will be expected to have a professional attitude to training and be available for regional and national teams events if selected.

From the Development Programme athletes will be identified for progression to the Tennis Auckland Performance Programme and Tennis NZ High Performance Programmes.
