Overview

There are three winter competition options – singles, doubles or mixed doubles, all four person teams playing weekly on Sundays at 10am for either 6 or 7 weeks – there is a 1pm start for a small number of doubles & mixed contests. For further information please contact your club interclub controller.

Singles

• 4 players per team (or 5 if using a specialist doubles player)
• Separate competitions for men and women
• A fixture consists of 4 singles matches and 2 doubles matches,  10am start

Doubles
• 4 players per team
• Separate competitions for men and women
• A fixture consists of 4 doubles matches – playing order 1 & 2, 3 & 4, 1 & 3, 2 & 4
• 10am start (1pm start  used where court availability is tight)

Mixed Doubles
• 2 men and 2 women per team
•  A contest consists of 2 doubles and 2 mixed doubles matches
• 10am start (1pm start  used where court availability is tight)

All matches (including singles) will be two Tie-break sets. If the score is one set all a Super Tie-break (first to 10 points with a two-point advantage) will be played to decide the winner.

Team Captains will be responsible for arranging alternative dates if play is not possible, or matches cannot be completed when rain stops play. The first two weekends of August may also be used for any rained out contests. Tennis Auckland will not reschedule any contests.
