The Summer Age Group Top 16 Shootout 2021

This year we have a $3000 prize pool for the Auckland Championships plus a bonus age group Singles event for the top 16 players who enter in 12U/14U/16U age groups

Players may enter 2 Singles events where the dates don’t conflict

  • Restricted Draw Sizes- Selections based on ranking
  • Players must be 13 years of age or older to enter this tournament
  • Players must have at least an S6 ranking

Singles Qualifying – 32 players to 4 Qualifiers

Draw Format: Singles knockout tournament (No consolation or doubles)

Draw Sizes: Top 16 ranked players based on Match Hub ranking list as at 01/12/2021

Match Format: All matches are the best of 3 tie breaker sets (playing lets)

Balls: Wilson US Open – 3 New balls for each match

The conditions of this tournament reflect the prevailing conditions with the COVID 19 situation in New Zealand. Subject to government guidelines Tennis Auckland does not necessarily expect to run tournaments with these restrictions in future.

  • To create the safest possible environment for this event we have restricted draw sizes, and we will manage the scheduling to ensure that only a portion of the players need to be on site at any given time.
  • We can only accept entries from fully vaccinated players. This will not apply to entries for children 11 years and under. Vaccination certificates/passes will be required to confirm entry.
  • To manage the number of people on site each player will only be allowed 1 nominated fully vaccinated support person – a COVID vaccine pass will need to be shown.
  • Restricted access to the indoor facility. Café will not be providing food or beverage options.
  • Players Sports pro shop will be open for re-strings
  • Outside toilets will be open
  • The players and their support person are expected to arrive no earlier than 15min prior to the scheduled match time and leave immediately after the conclusion of their match (no spectating other matches).
  • Players and support person must scan in using the QR codes provided at the centre
